For the past few days my Puppet Master box-set has set at my girlfriend's house, and for the past few days we have viewed the films, one by one, in
chronological order as I explained to her my reasons for the order as well as theories on the series in general...
...In a shocking twist my thread title is (Personally) inaccurate! My girlfriend loves the series almost as much as I do, it's just the right mix of horror and humor for her. Though she thought Retro was boring as hell (As I do too), part 3 more than made up for it; She laughed, she cried, she liked the killing scenes... After viewing the loveably surreal part 1 with her I knew I had come up with a big hit.
Today we watched Curse, which she thought was hilarious and cool (Mostly hilarious, main part that was "cool" for her was Tunneler's big-scene), then part 2, where I really got a chance to gab to her about my series preferences and the puppets themselves (Aren't I a dork! :P). If we end up getting together tomorrow, we'll most likely watch 4 and 5. She may not like them as much due to the lack of cool death scenes, but hopefully she will like the main series ending on a happier note with Andre coming back and all. ^_^
Hooray for marathons, we have a new, actual fan!
I think her favorite puppets are Leech Woman and Six-Shooter (Actually I'm pretty sure Dr. Death was ironically her favorite, but barring him...), followed by Torch, then Tunneler (She prefers the name "Drill Sergeant"). She also thinks Jester is sort of cute, and oddly she doesn't really much care for Blade :P
